Please, allow me to tell you a real story I personally lived through. Once upon a time, there were two republics. Both had constitutions, laws, civil rights, a government, a congress, and a court system of law. The people could assemble, associate, speak, and write with freedom.
But as the people became unsatisfied with their governments, they chose to support new officials and were fooled by fake images of religion and a better life before reality began to set in.
Has the Republican Party become increasingly dangerous to American Democracy? If left unchecked, will China and Russia continue to undermine and overpower the #USA destroying the will of the American people?
America is not the only country wrestling with deepening political fissures. But the USA rigid two-party system is collapsing by a range of social and political debates into one battle line that may make our differences appear larger than they really are.
The national USA election has been the nastiest in a century and is still undeclared with a tighter competition than expected between Donald Trump and Joe Biden. The victory is now in the hands of some five key states that continue to count the ballots, a process that could take some time.
It is difficult to understand how anyone could believe an ignorant, illiterate, blustering and undignified words coming from them.
If GOP Senator Kelly Loeffler got rich off of shady deals on Wall Street and is now really the wealthiest member of Congress, she may be using her fortune as a slush fund to finance her campaign and plowed $23,000,000 of her own money into the race.
We cannot defeat an enemy without fully learning his identity. The disappointment, sadness, fear, or hate some people may be currently experiencing are not enemies. Righteous anger may be the best tool we can have at our disposal to overcome those other feelings if we exert anger mindfully.
Our real enemy, I believe, has been our inability to accept our present-day existential reality —whether all of us can survive as a free nation— and, as a result of that knowledge, to fully trust ourselves in order to effect real, extraordinary change.
Why have Republican advisers plunged into a bitter round of finger-pointing and blame-shifting ahead of their increasingly likely defeat?
