Consumer Reports and The Markup have teamed up to investigate Facebook’s collection of consumers’ personal information.

Using a panel of 709 volunteers who shared archives of their Facebook data, we found that a total of 186,892 companies sent data about them to the social network – and that every Facebook user is likely monitored by thousands of companies.

The question that begs to be answered is whether it will be his parting shot, or it now turn into a XXX-rated platform.
